Gench mastering services integrates years of audio engineering experience with state of the art analog and digital facilities. Deploying the best in Class A analog outboard gear in tandem with cutting-edge digital processing, Gench will make the difference in the sound of your next recording. Ears, integration, and experience for a big, open, and warm sound.

sound restoration

Broadband noise reduction, declicking, decrackling and phase-linear equalization are handled with a variety of digital plug-ins including Sonic Solutions NoNoise, and Waves Sound Restoration/Masters series. In the right hands these tools can result in a stunning improvement over the original sound sources.

media formats

Accepted media formats include: CD, CD-R, CD-ROM (data CD), DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RAM, DAT, 1/4" reel, cassette, SCSI, and firewire drives. All sample rates from 44.1 to 192K are accepted. Mastering projects can also be accepted via FTP (using DigiDelivery).

Gench will deliver a Red Book Audio Gold Reference CD Master along with two duplicated safety copies. DDP files can also be requested (at no additional charge) to insure an error-free master for the disc manufacturing process (inquire with your CD manufacturing plant to see if DDP files can be accepted). Track sheets and PQ logs are also included.

rates

Hourly rates:
$100/hour for mastering and/or sound restoration work
$75/hour for mixing and post production work

Project rates:
$395 for EP-length mastering package
$595 for CD-length mastering package

Discount digital project rates:
$145 for EP-length mastering package
$195 for CD-length mastering package
*digital project rates entail 100% digital processing (no outboard analog) and client does not attend the session
